ORACLE MANAGED FILES (OMF)

  1. OMF gives flexibility in managing CRD files
  2. We can use OMF by setting below parameter
db_create_file_dest
db_create_online_log_dest                 dynamic parameters

COMMANDS

# To configure OMF parameters
SQL> alter system set db_create_file_dest=’/u02/prod’ scope=memory;
SQL> alter system set db_create_online_log_dest=’/u02/prod’ scope=memory;
